London - Thursday August 27th to Saturday August 30th
The trip actually started on Wednesday 27th with the departure of QF9 from Melbourne at 22.55 bound for London via Dubai. Unfortunately things didn't go to plan and the flight was delayed by just over 4 hours. We finally go to London late on Thursday afternoon London time.

Thursday August 28th - London The first item on the agenda was to check into the hotel and find the nearest place for beer'o'clock and something to eat that that wasn't anything like airline food. Our hotel is just on Leicester Square in London which has a lot of decent places to eat. After few beers and and a nice meal, it was back to the hotel for a long sleep. |
Friday August 29th - London An easy day today. After breakfast we checked out the local discount theatre ticket sellers and bought some tickets to some shows. After that it was off to Buckingham Palace to do the tour (again) and then onto the London Tower to have a look around. (NOTE: Each poppy represents a British soldier killed in the First World War. There will be a total of 888,246 put in place. The last one will be placed on 11/11/14 at 11:00am) We finished the day with a night at the St Martins Theatre to see The Mousetrap.
