Nimes - Tuesday September 23rd to Thursday September 25th
Tuesday September 23rd
An easy travel day with a train ride from Sitges to Barcelona and than a fast TGV train trip to Nimes in France arriving just after lunch. We collected our rental car and had a look in in the centre of Nimes before heading off to visit friends Patrick and Claude who have a guesthouse there. Phis was over his stomach bug but Charlie was still suffering from the Bronchitis. The day was finished off by a fantastic meal with P&C.

Wednesday September 24th
A rather wet day so we couldn't do much until the afternoon. We hopped in the car and took a drive to Uzes and then onto the Pont du Gard.

Thursday September 25th
A late start to the day before we headed to Aigues-Mortes, a medevial walled city south of Nimes. We got there at lunchtime and decided to have something to eat before having a look around. Lunch, however, turned out to be a rather long affair with great food, wine and conversation so little time was left to see the sights. On the way hole we stopped at Camargue Gardoise (a guard tower serving as a warning post between Nimes and Aigues-Mortes and as a toll gate.
